FOOTNOTES
* Inkera of Charlotte was not a member of PSI when this all went down. She was given access to the backstage area to support her team by ABQ organizers. Conversely, she never signed the COH and has committed no act that would be punishable above the COH (say, an act that broke a local law). To that end, her sentence kicks in when she does in fact become a member, if ever. By the same token her presence and participation in future PSI events will be weighed considerably in light of her actions in Albuquerque.
** Vote #3 caused the EC a great deal of stress, and is one of the reasons why completion of this assignment was delayed. Of the four votes (not counting their variations) that needed to be carried out, this one ended up causing us the most trouble.
We could not allow an act of violence or the suggestion of violence to go unpunished. We can not have people threatening one another or getting into fights on our stages without serious consequences because if it gets out of hand, the consequences become far more serious than any punishment PSI might dole out.
This vote won by a majority of votes, but not by a majority of EC members. Of the 6 EC members that voted (1 member – Phil West – recused himself from all votes), 3 of them voted for this punishment as written. The other 3 voted for other variations singularly. As president, I extended the period of time for discussion and re-voting. Votes remained largely unchanged.
†Because of their unwillingness to participate in any way with PSI in the determination of what happened or any resultant resolutions, Queen Sheba and Mekkah are not being offered the community service options.
