IV. ADDITIONAL VOTES

Vote #4
Should everyone’s sentences run:

1) Concurrent (at the same time, meaning overall shorter sentences)
2) Consecutively (one ends, another begins)

The vote went to #2. This was determined for all sentences and for all participants.

Addendum #1: Consecutive Community Service Question

There are only two people who have more than one violation AND are eligible for the community service option: Shihan and Javon.
In respect to a possible “time served” option Bill MacMillan offered the following, which went unopposed by the rest of the EC:

Shihan – Consecutive Community Service Option:
The EC has agreed to offer a reduction of this sentence to 2 1/2 years of probation if:
1.) Volunteer to work at 2 PSI events in the next year (based upon approval of EC)
2.) Offer a written public apology to ABQ & the slam family.
3.) Punishment for violation #1 would be waived based upon completion of Community Service.

Javon- Consecutive Community Service Option:
The EC has agreed to offer a reduction of this sentence to 4 1/2 years of probation if:
1.) Volunteer to work at 3 PSI events in the next 2 years (based upon approval of EC)
2.) Offer a written public apology to the slam family, ABQ & to the other party involved.
3.) Punishment for violations #1 & #2 would waived based upon completion of Community Service.

This would keep the probation consecutive but lessen the “double whammy” of the volunteer work should they opt to utilize that option.
