Coming in February - the Women’s Slam
We will be holding our first ever Women’s Slam, to choose our contestant for the upcoming Women of The World Poetry Slam, to be held in Detroit in March. Women from all over will descend on Detroit for four days of poetry.
From wow.poetryslam.com
The Women of the World Poetry Slam (WOWps) is an all-woman PSI event created by women for women poetry slam competitors. Poets who live their lives as women will be eligible to participate in WOWps. 18 poets will be invited as legacy poets who have been a part of the National Poetry Slam in the past (before 2000 NPS) to bring those voices back to the audiences.
A big thanks to Blair for coming out. The crowd was great and Blair was fantastic as always. Apparently he will be moving to Paris next year, so if you missed him last nigh, make sure you check him out before he is gone!
Next month is next year, and the first Tuesday is actually the first. Since you will certainly be a little tired from the holidays, we are moving the slam to January 8th, save the date!
Tuesday night is the unstoppable Ann Arbor Poetry Slam at the Heidelberg. We will be featuring Blair. If you don’t know who Blair is, I’m sorry about your horrible and sheltered life. Please let me alleviate your pain by introducing you to the hottest poet in these parts. Don’t MISS IT!
