Formative Childhood Experience: a second grade science experiment when they had us release aphids on philodendrons in order to observe them and i kept saying the aphids were helping them to grow until i realized the plants were dying and that part of the assignment was to kill the plants on purpose just so we could observe and i felt like a mini mengele, not that i knew who mengele was when i was in second grade. yeah, that’s a real downer, isn’t it?
Interests: i’m a left-wing political junky and a spiritual seeker. i also like yoga, martial arts, film (particularly foreign films, art films and science fiction films), and of course reading and writing.

Ambition: To do work that I love which enables me to do good in the world.
Recent Accomplishment: sat through the film shattered glass without smashing the TV. anyone who sits through that whole thing without beating the shit out of the TV or finding hayden christianson and beating the shit out of him deserves a reward.
Prized Possessions: oh, i don’t know. someone gave me a preserved hummingbird in a ring box, once. i thought that was pretty neat.
